In science we go by the Next Generation Science Standards which require “hands-on” learning where students will come up with questions and find answers through experimentation and projects. Students in Kindergarten and First Grade are introduced to the science lab through various experiments. Grades 2 – 5 delve into the subject matter more deeply. Some of the highlights are incubating chicken eggs and watching the chicks hatch, planting and harvesting a vegetable garden and nurturing our butterfly garden.
